Limited Partnership with United Sport and Cycle

United Sport & Cycle is a specialty sports store located in the heart of Edmonton, Alberta. Since our humble beginnings in 1928, we’ve grown from a small cycle shop to a 110,000 square foot space that houses gear for over 30 sports. We’re family-owned and have deep roots in our community. We see sports as a way to bring people together, and our driving force has always been to help athletes of all levels reach their full potential.

Sports Central Alberta

Sports Central Alberta is dedicated to providing access to sports equipment for youth across the Edmonton. Their commitment to making sports more accessible aligns perfectly with our mission to ensure every player has the opportunity to step onto the field with confidence.

Sport Central is a charitable organization that serves kids and families in the greater Edmonton area: from Red Deer to the Northern Alberta border. Their mandate is to empower kids and families—one piece of sports equipment at a time.

They collect, repair, recycle, and redistribute equipment and bikes to children ages 4-17 from families facing financial hardship.

In 2024, they provided equipment to 13,264 kids (a 26% increase over the previous year), and they expect to increase that number in 2025!

Last year, their volunteers had the following impact:

2,279 pieces of equipment repaired
2,202 pairs of skate sharpened
2,209 helmets repaired
2,786 bicycles repaired

How to get involved

To satisfy the growing demand for their services, they need to find new ways to increase their volume of donated equipment, and volunteers.
